RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Lead Product Manager TMS for a long-term contract 6 months to start onsite Monday to Thursday, Friday WFH and can sit at any location San Franscisco, CA or Rocklin, CA, Dallas, TX, Phoenix, CA, Olive Branch, MS, GA, Ohio, NJ, NY, MA and NC.
Day to Day Overview:
In this role, you will consult and work with the business stakeholders, project managers, architects, development teams, and others to gather and define, then develop and document client requirements as both functional specifications then translate them to technical requirements to ensure successful deployment of deliverables.
Responsibilities:
* Lead Product Manager serves as a liaison between the business community and the IT organization to provide product and user experience solutions to meet the business needs
* Develops high level business requirements and translates them into functional specifications for the IT organization and manages changes to such specifications
* Negotiates agreements and commitments by facilitating communication between the business and IT from initial requirements to final implementation
* As a Lead Product Manager, you will possess and may share subject-matter expertise or in-depth technical knowledge, uses expertise to further development of company objectives and principles and to achieve goals in creative and effective ways
* May provide tactical work direction to team members
* Works on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
REQUIREMENTS:
* 6 years of technical product management experience
* Project experience within warehouse logistics initiatives - specifically around transportation management, freight management, long-haul and home delivery
* Strong communication skills and stakeholder management skills
* Coming from a technical environment - working with engineers (not just from the business/operations side)
* Day to day experience with working with business stakeholders, gathering requirements, writing user stories, and working with development teams to execute on feature/functionality or enhancements of systems/applications
* Experience working in an Agile environment and with Jira
* Ability to crystallize a problem and clearly define, analyze and articulate solutions
* Collaborative spirit who can work well with large cross-functional teams
* Motivated to learn, high energy level, etc.
* Strong business acumen, experience working with stakeholders, negotiation, etc.
* Attention to detail with the tenacity to dig into complex scenarios
* Possesses broad knowledge of technical design specifications and works with technology peers to help develop solutions
* Excellent knowledge of product management best practices, functional design and application delivery methodology
* Customer focused with high quality standards, must possess strong presentation skills
* Possesses solid knowledge of project management methodology
* Demonstrates excellent interpersonal, business communication and writing skills
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
