RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Network Engineer in Washington, DC.
Duties Include:
* Build and maintain the day-day operation of the TFIN computer network; Maintain hardware and software
* Assist in disaster recovery operations; Protect data, software, and hardware from attacks
* Replace faulty network hardware components; Work closely with customers to identify potential issues and fix existing problems
* Design, configure, and test networking software, computer hardware, and operating system software; Review network designs and configurations to ensure consistency with architecture
* Implement, administer, and troubleshoot CISCO network devices including WAPs, firewalls, routers, switches, and controllers; Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve hardware, software, and other network and system problems
* Monitor and optimize network performance
* Coordinate computer network access and use
* Replace faulty network hardware components
* Protect data, software, and hardware by coordinating, planning and implementing network security measures
* Confer with customers and users and solve existing system issues
* Implement network and operating System Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to secure all aspects of the network
* Assist in providing IATT and ATO packages; Conduct research and testing on the state-of-the-art network information technologies
* Participate in customer briefings and design reviews
* Create, update, and maintain system level baseline documentation to include block diagrams, Simple Network Diagrams (SND), Detailed Network Diagrams (DND), and router & switch configuration Templates
REQUIREMENTS:
* Experience in supporting network operations with a federal government agency
* Demonstrated knowledge of CISCO network devices
* Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
Desired Skills:
* College degree in Network Operations and Security
* CCNP, CCNA, Security , Net
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
