RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in downtown Houston, TX looking for an experienced Oracle PL/SQL Developer. This position is on-site 3 days/week with the ability to work remote the other 2 days. This is a contract-to-hire role with the ability to convert to a full-time employee after 6 months.
Responsibilities:
* As the Senior Developer, Applications, you will be primarily responsible for design, development, maintenance, and enhancement of IT applications in middleware platform
* Interfaces with clients at all organizational levels and takes business requirements and delivers technical work to yield productive products for end-users
* Perform planning, development, coding, testing, migration to production, and the maintenance of applications in multiple technical landscapes
* Design user flows, platform architecture, software patterns, and data models to support current and long-term business needs
* Adhere to applications standards and best practices
* Coordinate with upstream and downstream application teams and Infrastructure teams to ensure overall success of the application
* Troubleshoot production issues and remedy these in a timely manner with minimal disruptions
* Participate in disaster recovery in case of disaster situation and supports scheduled annual disaster recovery tests, including maintenance of required documentation and coordination of user participation
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline
* Certification - Training or Certification on Java, Cloud Solutions and Oracle PL/SQL Language is an added plus
* 5-7 years of demonstrated experience of Java language, SQL query construct using Oracle Database, TOAD/SQL Developer, Operating systems such as Linux and Windows and ability to participate in multiple projects at the same time
* Knowledge on Oracle Fusion Middleware and Java Application servers like Oracle WebLogic, Apache or IBM WebSphere and Internet technologies like HTML, XML, WSDL, Scripting languages, knowledge of SDLC activities on development projects
* Understanding of Cloud Technology and Solutions
* Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
* Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products
* Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner
* Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
