Oracle/Postgres SQL DBA (AWS)

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an Oracle/Postgres SQL DBA (AWS) in Merrimack, NH.

Duties:
* Working in a large database hybrid environment that includes both on-prem and public cloud resources
* Hands on-with deploying and managing relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or Sybase
* Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools such as GitHub, Artifactory and Jenkins
* Automate various administrative tasks using the Python, Groovy, Jenkins, Java, and/or shell scripting skills
* Configuring alerts and monitors to create a highly available platform
* On-call support, resolving incidents and release management practices

REQUIREMENTS:
* At least 8 years of experience working in a large database hybrid environment that includes both on-prem and public cloud resources
* Proven expertise and hands on-experience with deploying and managing relational databases such as Oracle, MS SQL, PostgreSQL, or Sybase
* Expertise and experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment tools such as GitHub, Artifactory and Jenkins
* Experience with configuring alerts and monitors to create a highly available platform
* Experience with on-call support, resolving incidents and release management practices
* Thinks innovatively and have the ability to automate various administrative tasks using the Python, Groovy, Jenkins, Java , and/or shell scripting skills
* Ability to evaluate and propose best-of-breed tools and engineering best-practices
* Strong communication and influencing skills

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
