RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a pioneering global technology firm in Marlborough, MA, is seeking a Principal Systems Engineer (Model-Based Systems Engineering - MBSE) to support mission-critical projects involving Information Assurance (IA) and secure system design. This is a high-impact role within a collaborative, cross-functional engineering team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and support systems engineering activities focused on Information Assurance (IA), including the analysis of security architectures and conducting vulnerability assessments
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to address complex security challenges and implement robust, scalable solutions
* Analyze system requirements and contribute to multiple product release cycles using tools such as DOORS
* Define and allocate security requirements, assess vulnerabilities, and support certification and compliance initiatives
* Develop and maintain security-related documentation in a team-oriented development environment
REQUIREMENTS:
* 7 years of experience in systems engineering, preferably in security-focused projects
* Proficiency in requirements analysis and documentation, particularly using DOORS or similar tools
* Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
* Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
* Solid understanding of systems architecture principles to support security-focused design (preferred)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
