RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Product Owner in Madison, WI.
Responsibilities:
* Product Owner will define & prioritize the product backlog, set quality standard for delivery, & represent the business to the Agile team
* Contribute to the creation of product vision & alignment with strategic priorities with stakeholders
* Work with Product Manager, key stakeholders, and development team to develop and maintain the product roadmap; Incorporate input into product roadmap while effectively negotiating tradeoffs of conflicting priorities based on value to the business and customer
* Communicate the product strategy effectively to key stakeholders, business partners, & team members
* Use data to identify opportunities, prioritize work, test hypotheses & drive innovation
* Ensure delivery of scope, partner with your Agile team to ensure user stories are clear, remove barriers for team members and resolve open issues/questions quickly and efficiently
* As a Product Owner, you will manage features or products with a low to medium degree of scope and complexity
* Support defining minimum viable product (MVP) and analyzing feasibility, cost ramifications, economies of scale, and other aspects of planned or potential programs
* Develop user story acceptance criteria and participate in team demos and retrospectives
REQUIREMENTS:
* Minimum of a 4-year degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or Business; Or minimum of 10 years of equivalent experience in Agile project/product management
* Certified Product Owner through Scrum Alliance or Scrum.org; Or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) through Project Management Institute
* 4 or more years of experience as a Product Owner developing software products using Agile development methodologies and owning a product backlog; 8 years as a technical SME on an Agile product team as a cross functional team member
* Minimum of 3 years working on an Agile Cross Functional Team
* Strong problem-solving skills with ability to lead others
* A highly experimental mindset to drive innovation amidst uncertainty or ambiguity
* A strong focus on the customer experience
* Communication and support of globally based development teams during non-standard business hours
* Ability to depict complex ideas, issues and designs to varied audiences; Educate business units/department(s) on the business value, plan, and the impact of change
* Ability to make quick and challenging decisions daily
* Ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders through strong leadership skills
* Ability to use data to prioritize and make tradeoff decisions
* Ability to work independently and only seek help in complex situations
* Ability to perform hands on testing to ensure quality is achieved as part of the gate keeper for releases to production
* Ability and willingness to travel internationally
* Bilingual (Mandarin/English) highly desired
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
