RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Madison, WI that is seeking a Project Manager.
Summary:
In this role, the Project Manager will apply proven written and verbal communication skills as well as analytical, and problem-solving skills to plan, develop and execute approved IT projects. This includes developing project plans to implement approved technology solutions and managing all phases of the assigned projects for delivery. Additionally, the IT Project Manager should ensure all IT personnel are consistently informed and actively included as appropriate in every project phase to foster collaboration and transparency.
Responsibilities:
* Lead the development and implementation of a Project Management Office (PMO) to standardize project management processes and improve project delivery
* Develop and execute change management plans to ensure smooth transitions and adoption of new processes and technologies
* Prepare and present detailed project reports and dashboards to senior management and stakeholders
* Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques, ensuring projects meet quality standards and objectives
* Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring projects are delivered within scope, time, and cost constraints
* Collaborate with project sponsors to determine and document project scope and vision
* Identify and meet with project stakeholders and user departments to gather requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, and other methods
* Prepare statements of work and project plans which includes: scope, deliverables, roles and responsibilities, tasks and timelines, criteria and metrics
* Align project goals and objectives with the organization's strategic priorities and business goals
* Assist in conducting research on software and hardware products to meet agreed-upon requirements and to support purchasing efforts
REQUIREMENTS:
* College diploma or University degree in the field of Business Administration, Computer Science, Information Systems or in another related field with 3 years of related work experience, or at least 7 years of related work experience
* PMO certification preferred, but not required
* Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
* Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
* Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA, Asana)
* In-depth understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) and best practices
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
* Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
* Experience with change management and process improvement initiatives
* Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels
* Familiarity with IT infrastructure, software development, and system integration projects
* Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements related to IT projects
* High proficiency with desktops, laptops and mobile devices
* High proficiency with windows operating system
* High proficiency with collaboration and project management tools
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
