RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking an SAP Solutions Architect in Salt Lake City, UT.
Summary:
The SAP TM Solutions Architect will design, implement, and optimize SAP Transportation Management (SAP TM) solutions while ensuring alignment with enterprise architecture standards. This role will oversee the SAP TM Architecture Roadmap to ensure scalability, reliability, security, and business alignment. The Architect will guide key technical decisions, support large-scale SAP TM implementations, and integrate SAP TM with other SAP and non-SAP modules.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain the SAP TM Architecture Roadmap, ensuring alignment with enterprise IT strategy
* Lead the design and implementation of SAP TM, including configuration, customization, and integration with SAP ERP (S/4HANA, ECC), SAP EWM, SAP YL, and third-party logistics solutions
* Define best practices for SAP TM master data governance to ensure accurate transportation planning and execution
* Partner with business and IT teams to translate logistics requirements into scalable SAP TM solutions
* Oversee the integration of SAP TM with SAP EWM, SAP IBP, SAP GTS, and SAP Fiori for seamless supply chain execution
* Manage technical configurations for freight planning, order management, freight settlement, and charge management in SAP TM
* Establish performance benchmarks and ensure SAP TM solutions meet compliance and operational standards
* Drive continuous improvement initiatives, keeping SAP TM solutions in line with industry best practices
* Provide guidance on SAP TM development methodologies, data models, and reporting tools, leveraging SAP BW/4HANA and embedded analytics
* Ensure robust change management, documentation, and testing strategies to maintain system stability
* Collaborate with external vendors, SAP consultants, and technology partners to optimize the SAP TM ecosystem
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field
* 8-10 years of experience in SAP architecture and technical solution design, with a focus on SAP TM and logistics solutions
* 5 years of hands-on experience implementing SAP TM (standalone or embedded in S/4HANA) in a complex enterprise environment
* Proven experience integrating SAP TM with SAP ERP, SAP EWM, SAP IBP, and third-party transportation or logistics management systems
* Strong background in transportation network design, freight cost calculation, carrier collaboration, and shipment execution within SAP TM
Technical Competencies:
* Deep expertise in SAP TM architecture, configuration, and best practices
* Strong understanding of SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) for extending SAP TM functionality
* Experience with SAP TM master data (business partners, locations, resources, transportation zones, and freight agreements)
* Proficiency in transportation planning and execution, freight order management, charge calculation, and transportation resource scheduling
* Knowledge of SAP TM optimizer capabilities, including load consolidation, route planning, and carrier selection algorithms
* Strong skills in ABAP, BOPF, BRF , and Fiori apps related to SAP TM
* Experience with SAP TM analytics and reporting tools, including embedded analytics, BW/4HANA, and SAC
* Familiarity with cloud-based transportation solutions and SAP TM integration with IoT and telematics
* This position is ideal for a highly skilled SAP TM Solutions Architect who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment and can lead end-to-end SAP TM implementations while ensuring best practices in transportation management
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
