RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is immediately seeking an experienced Data Scientist in support of our enterprise telecommunications and mass media client based in Greenwood Village, CO.
Summary:
This role involves end-to-end model development, from data ingestion and ETL to machine learning algorithm deployment and presentation of results to stakeholders. The ideal candidate is experienced in developing both supervised and unsupervised learning models, working with large-scale datasets, and leveraging cloud-based infrastructure to deliver actionable insights.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and implement supervised and unsupervised machine learning models, including neural networks, XGBoost, random forest, and k-means clustering
* Build scalable data pipelines using Scala-based ETL processes and process large datasets using PySpark, Python, or Scala
* Perform data cleaning, joins, aggregations, and groupings to prepare datasets for modeling
* Utilize AWS services, including Athena, for querying and infrastructure support
* Present model results and predictions to internal stakeholders, including senior leadership
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align machine learning solutions with business goals
* Continuously evaluate model performance and iterate as needed
REQUIREMENTS:
* Proven experience designing and developing machine learning algorithms (supervised and unsupervised)
* Strong programming skills in Python or R, especially for model development
* Proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying
* Hands-on experience with AWS, including Athena
* Experience with end-to-end ETL processes, including data cleansing, aggregation, and transformation
* Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
Preferred:
* Strong proficiency in PySpark for distributed data processing
* Experience presenting model outcomes to executive stakeholders
* Familiarity with MLOps best practices for model deployment and monitoring
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
