RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Oakland, CA that is seeking a Senior IT Business Analyst to use research and data analytics to support operational performance improvement.
Duties/Day to Day Overview:
* Senior IT Business Analyst will work with stakeholders and project team to elicit, analyze, validate and prioritize the business needs/requirements
* Conducts interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods
* Identifies and establishes scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics
* Analyzes and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards
* Participates in the selection of any software solutions that the organization may opt to use
* Develops and utilizes standard templates to accurately and concisely write requirements specifications
* Translates conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers/project team
* As a Senior IT Business Analyst, you will create process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to developers and/or the project team
* Develops and conduct peer reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted
* Assists with the interpretation of customer requirements into feasible options, and communicating these back to the business stakeholders
* Manages, enforce and redefine (as necessary) the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle
REQUIREMENTS:
* 5 years of related experience or equivalent
* Proven experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, verification, and methodology development
* Proven experience with business IT applications
* Experience in Waterfall, Agile and Scrum methodology
* Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
* Experience with MS Visio, Excel and PowerPoint
* Working knowledge of SQL
* Knowledge of Utilty operations, performance metrics and Company history
* Technical: SQL server, Tableau/Power BI, Excel Power Point
* Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills
* Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
* Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail
* Highly self-motivated and directed
* Strong customer service orientation
* Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it
* Ability to lead and influence decision-making working with senior management at Company
* Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
