RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in need of a Senior Network Engineer in Richmond, VA.
Responsibilities:
* The Senior Network Engineer will lead network architecture planning, including hardware and software upgrades
* Provide technical expertise in troubleshooting network issues and implementing solutions
* Oversee the planning and execution of network projects,
* Design, implement, and manage complex network solutions
* Responsible for safeguarding an organization's computer systems and networks
* Collaborate with IT teams to ensure network security measures are in place
* Conduct regular network performance monitoring and optimization
* Mentor and train junior network engineers to enhance team capabilities
* The Senior Network Engineer will evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for network improvements
* Develop and maintain network documentation for reference and compliance purposes
REQUIREMENTS:
* 4-year degree in IT related course of study
* 8 years of relevant IT experience in large/complex IT architecture environments
* 4 years of network architecture design and/or solution engineering of data center
* 2 years of network design or administration involving cloud infrastructure
* 2 years of scripting or coding experience
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
