Senior Software Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a fully remote Senior Software Engineer to join their team.

Essential Duties:
* Role will be split between converting legacy components to modern .Net and contributing to our client data migrations, including maintaining and modifying the conversion tooling (C#/SQL)
* Provide State rule changes for our legacy application and package changes through InstallShield
* Our development teams operate within a fast paced agile/scrum environment, you will be a part of and help improve our products to meet our customer needs
* You will advocate for quality and performance alongside engineering and business stakeholders
* You will implement standards, patterns and advocate best practices/approaches that others within the team can support
* You will support team members including the tech lead/architect and contribute to creation and implementation of software designs/architecture
* Translate business needs into designs and technical solutions, work closely with the business and testers to deliver business requirements efficiently and with high quality

REQUIREMENTS:
* Excellent knowledge/experience of MS VC 6, C#, .Net Core, VB and MS SQL
* Strong backend development experience including proficiency with SQL
* Strong understanding of the software development process, verification of functional and non-functional requirements
* Visual Studio 6 and modern VS 2022
* InstallShield
* Well versed in converting legacy applications to modern technologies
* Track record of working with data intensive applications
* Git
* Unit and integration testing
* Worked in an agile/scrum environment
* A collaborative team player who can work efficiently and autonomously with minimal supervision
* A delivery centric mindset, with a focus on value, reusability, and extensibility

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
