RESPONSIBILITIES:
A client with Kforce in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join their remotely. This position will be supporting: Multiple AWS EKS clusters running a variety of workloads. The bulk of the workload is Cloudbees CI (The commercial version of Jenkins).
Duties Include:
* Analyzes, designs, programs, debugs and modifies software enhancements and/or new products used in local, networked or Internet-related computer programs
* Interacts with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications
* Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements
* Writes code, completes programming and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies
* Completes documentation and procedures for installation and maintenance
* Trains and communicates with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams on systems application
REQUIREMENTS:
* A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or other related discipline or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience
* Strong knowledge in a programming language like Go
* Strong knowledge in managing workloads on K8s (prefer with gitops tools, like ArgoCD)
* Work experience in setting, measuring, and meeting SLA's, and SLOs
* Work experience in writing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines
* Previous experience in working with teams that are very dispersed across the globe
* Experience working in an agile team, preferably with scaled agile framework
* Development (Platform Developer)
* Strong knowledge of Golang
* Strong background in testing, TDD
* Strong experience working in continuous integration and delivery processes from dev to prod
* Experience with event driven architecture and microservices
* Experience developing and managing containerized applications
* Self-starter and team player; Should be comfortable in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
* Comfortable working with others to share knowledge and raise the technical ability of their peers
Bonus:
* Experience working with Postgres and using database migrations
* Experience with Jenkins
* Experience with Harness for continuous delivery
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
