RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce's client, a growing and established Engineering Technology company in Chandler, TX, is seeking an Operations Engineering Manager to lead Manufacturing Operations for their facility. We our working directly with the hiring manager for this position. This company offers a competitive compensation package. They are a provider of high-performance hardware and software for commercial, military and defense industries.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain a positive work environment by regularly communicating with employees on the floor and responding to employee issues and concerns in a timely manner
* Manage a team of engineering technicians in a PCB, SMT/Electronic Manufacturing Assembly and soldering environment
* Create and maintain SOPs
* Participate in design reviews and finalize the schedule for production
* Participate in leadership team meetings and update management on the status of the production
* Evaluate production schedules and make any needed modifications
* Interview, hire and enable training of new employees
REQUIREMENTS:
* BS degree in Engineering and/or Manufacturing discipline or similar field is desired
* 10 years of experience working in electronic manufacturing environments (PCB/SMT)
* 5 years of experience managing an SMT and/or assembly soldering electronic manufacturing area
* Ability to read, review, interpret electronic assembly drawings
* Ability to be pro-active, identify and drive change, and align strategy with business need
* Experience generating and analyzing metrics and effectively communicating information
* Experience establishing expectations and holding others accountable, with the ability to address performance issues fairly, directly and in a timely manner, while maintaining a positive and engaging environment
* Ability to read, review, interpret electronic assembly drawings
* Demonstrated experience in creating and maintaining an inclusive work environment with clear understanding of equitable practices
* Experience and strong technical competence in applying lean principles in day-to-day operations and continuous improvement activities
* Experience partnering, supporting, and influencing internal customers
* Demonstrated knowledge of quality standards and health & safety regulations
* Experience with J-STD-001, IPC610 and/or NASA-STD-8739 soldering standards would be preferred
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
