RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Database Engineer 4 in Redmond, WA. This development team will help bridge the gaps between current tech that exists within the organization. The team is building a lot of prototypes, Front and Back-end work.
Key Responsibilities:
* Software Database Engineer will design architecture to include the software, hardware, and communications to support the total requirements as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces
* Common query and function review, analysis and creation
* Data validation and hygiene - investigations into ongoing data misunderstanding corresponding data engineering solutions
* Maintenance, integrity, and availability of common views and Kusto functions
* Ensures these systems are compatible and in compliance with the standards for agency IT architectures, and profiles of standards as they apply to the implementation and specific to the solution for the platform, integration with other systems, and the external interfaces
* As a Software Database Engineer, you will ensure that the common operating environment is compliant; Evaluates analytically and systematically problems of workflows, organization and planning and develops appropriate corrective action
* Provides daily supervision and direction to staff
* Typical task breakdown and operating rhythm: The role will consist of 10% meetings & 90% heads down
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field is required to be eligible for this role; MBA or other related advanced degree preferred
* 8-10 overall years of experience in the field
* Minimum 8-10 years of experience with Python
* Minimum 8-10 years of experience with Synapse
* Minimum 8-10 years of experience with Kusto
* Experience with Python, Synapse, Kusto, Databricks, Data Pipelines, SQL
* Experience with broad technology delivery, including custom development using various development languages
* Experience with providing technical leadership, mentoring on software engineering design, development, and frameworks, analyzing alternatives, and presenting technical options to leads and clients
* Experience with driving technical planning and solutions for small software portfolio, including authoring or managing the development of software designs, managing vendor evaluations, and justifying technical recommendations
* Ability to apply fundamental concepts, processes, practices, and procedures on technical assignments
* Must be willing to work 5 days onsite for this role
* Performance will be assessed based on quality of work and meeting deadlines
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
