RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce is partnering with an institutional insurance company to hire a Software Delivery Program Manager in Omaha, NE.
Responsibilities:
* Monitor cross-team activity to identify risks to delivery, quality, and system dependability
* Guide teams towards self-organization while promoting effective collaboration with stakeholders
* Mentor team leads and managers in supporting their teams and working with stakeholders
* Work with stakeholders to continuously refine and implement agile software development practices
* Refine standards, procedures, and analysis for development velocity, quality, and production readiness
* Mentor teams in facilitating standups, retrospectives, planning sessions, and other sprint activities
* Intervene as needed to keep teams on track, providing guidance or escalating issues
* Work with technology leaders to define team composition and assign team members
* Administer comprehensive documentation of agile standards and guidelines, including training and periodic reviews
* Occasional travel for strategy meetings
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Software Engineering or related field
* Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Master (CSM), ideally also Certified Product Owner (CSPO)
* 10 years in Agile software development and Scrum, ideally with Lean experience
* 10 years of software development leadership
* 5 years working with remote teams in a CI/CD and DevOps cloud environment
* Extensive hands-on experience in software design and delivery, including working with business systems analysts, developers, QA, and DevOps
* Experience in regulated industries (e.g., Property & Casualty Insurance)
* Experience managing multi-team software development programs
* Proven track record in defining and implementing collaborative, people-oriented software development practices (e.g., Scrum, Lean)
* Strong communication skills, free from buzzwords
* Passion for supporting team members and overcoming challenges in collaborative environments
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
