RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Developer in San Antonio, TX. In this role, you will design, develop, enhance, and support applications. You will uphold the company's core values and support its mission and vision.
Key Responsibilities:
* Software Developer will provide excellent customer service by addressing feedback and resolving issues
* Design and improve software applications
* Troubleshoot and resolve application issues
* Research and evaluate new technologies
* Work with platforms like Microsoft .Net, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, SQL Server, REST Web Services, and XML
* Use tools like NUnit and JavaScript testing tools for unit tests
* Lead Test-Driven Development
* Mentor junior developers and ensure quality standards
* Gather requirements and define project scope with internal customers
* Oversee software application installation and maintenance
* Provide technical strategy and best practices
* Communicate with other departments about application issues
* As a Software Developer, you will manage mission-critical applications to ensure availability
* Maintain professional relationships and participate in architectural improvements
* Lead by example in quality-driven development
* Participate in development operations tasks like managing servers and automated deployments
* Perform other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
* 8 of experience as an Applications Developer
* 5 of experience with web technologies (HTML, JavaScript, CSS)
* 5 of SQL language experience (T-SQL required, PL/SQL preferred)
* 5 years of customer-facing experience, including requirements development and demonstration sessions
* Programming experience with object-oriented languages (C# preferred)
* Experience with technologies such as SharePoint, Microsoft Team Foundation, SQL Server, Oracle, ASP, Visual Studio, WebStorm, NUnit, QUnit, TeamCity, Web.API, and REST is a plus
* Experience with OOP (C# preferred)
* Knowledge of platforms like Microsoft .Net, SharePoint, SQL, and Oracle
* Understanding of HTML, JavaScript, CSS, and SDLC processes
* Familiarity with Test-Driven Development and Domain-Driven Design
* Strong analytical, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
* Ability to mentor team members
* Ability to interact with the business for relationship management and requirements
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
