Software Development Engineer II

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has an enterprise client seeking a Software Development Engineer II in North Reading, MA. As a member of this team, you will get the opportunity to work on projects that directly impact the customer experience.

Responsibilities:
* The Software Development Engineer will be developing (with Java and/or Kotlin) in complex software systems that power sortation and fulfillment operations, ensuring high availability and scalability
* Writing high-quality, well-tested code while adhering to engineering best practices and standards
* Designing and implementing infrastructure as code using AWS CDK, creating maintainable and secure cloud infrastructure
* Troubleshooting and resolving production issues while maintaining system reliability and performance
* Collaborating with product managers and other engineering teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions
* The Software Development Engineer will be creating and maintain technical documentation for systems and processes
* Contributing to team planning sessions and helping break down complex problems into manageable deliverables

REQUIREMENTS:
* Degree in Computer Science or related
* 3-5 years of experience
* Java experience
* AWS experience is a plus
* DynamoDB experience

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
