RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Engineer IV in Mountain View, CA.
Overview:
The client is looking for a Cloud Software Engineer (AWS, Go, Python) to work on a Disaster Recovery platform who has a strong understanding and background in distributed systems. Projects are centered mostly on Go and API development that interacts with AWS. Additionally, the Engineer will work closely with the core team to modernize and automate release management, deployment processes and strategies covering Dev, Test, Stage, and Production environments and collaborate with team members in the improvement of CI/CD practices.
REQUIREMENTS:
* 6 years of programming experience in GoLang
* 2 years of experience in Python 6 years of experience on AWS with focus on services like RDS, DynamoDB, EKS, SQS, SNS, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Config, CloudFormation
* 2 years of experience in monitoring and logging leveraging Splunk and Wavefront
* Experience developing software delivery leveraging DevOps, and agile practices/methodologies
* Experience supporting, monitoring, optimizing, and troubleshooting services running on cloud with a focus on automated solutions
* Sound knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes
* The ideal candidate will have sound knowledge of developing, managing, and testing Infrastructure as Code using one of the following CDK, or Terraform
* Excellent communication skills: demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences
* Team player, possessing strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills
* Knowledge of React is a big bonus
* Experience with Scrum, Agile and iterative approaches is a plus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
