RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Engineer in Greenwood Village, CO. This position is for a well-rounded software engineer interested in completing both user interface design and implementation in Ruby and Typescript with Nodejs and Express, along with backend development in Java and JavaScript for the AWS cloud, including working with AWS API Gateways, Lambda's, and Cognito.

Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with industry experts from many disciplines: software architects, network engineers, data scientists, billing experts, mediation engineers, radio engineers, content security specialists, and various video technologists
* Engage with quality assurance engineers, technical operators, and product owners; We are a small team that rapidly delivers software solutions with the latest technologies at the leading edge of ISP technology
* Design and develop new software applications, including user interfaces and their backend API components, along with customizing existing applications
* Collaborating with the Engineering and Product Development organizations, vendors, and standards and policy organizations
* Diagnose performance issues and propose and implement code improvements
* Assist in the constant integration and constant deployment of software releases
REQUIREMENTS:
* BS/MS in Computer Science and/or 5 years equivalent experience
* 5 years of working experience with Billing Systems (Post Pre-paid) and Mediation Systems
* 4 years of programming and designing backend and APIs using Java and JavaScript
* 2 years of programming user interfaces in Ruby and JavaScript (i.e., TypeScript)
* At least 2-years programming in Ruby is required
* At least 1-year programming in Vue.js and Typescript is required
* 2 years of experience working with data stores such as PostgreSQL and Redis
* 2 years working with AWS cloud services
* Experience developing multi-threaded applications for networking, web services, HTTP, and TCP/IP
* Good communicator; able to analyze and clearly articulate complex issues and technologies understandably and engagingly
* Able to lead complex projects with a team of engineers at junior and senior levels across different organizations and integrate billing and mediation systems with existing network elements

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
