RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Software Engineer in Annapolis, MD. The nature of the work is focused on the company's computer and telephony technology tools used to create, store, exchange, and use all forms of information.
Key Tasks:
* Software Engineer will optimize the capability of the IT infrastructure and services to deliver cost effective and sustained level of application availability
* Develop complex tools and processes in the support of continuity management
* Executes tests for system continuity
* Design, test, and implement monitoring tools and processes
* Write procedures to respond to results so system issues are brought to resolution
* Collect metrics over a long term for trending. Performs complex work to install hardware and software taking proactive steps to assure success
* Devises process and procedure for applying and maintaining security settings and user access based on technology platform
* As a Software Engineer, you will recommend improvements as indicated based on analysis of current techniques and perceived imperfections
* Uses specialized SAP basis skills to create and maintain SAP environments, install SAP application components, monitor and trouble shoot SAP technical issues
REQUIREMENTS:
* Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and minimum of 5 years directly relevant work experience; One of the following alternatives may be accepted: PhD or Law 3 years; Masters 4 years; Associates degree 6 years; High School diploma/GED 7 years
* We are looking for a senior level software engineer for a team in the AIML/supply chain space; Python and cloud are a must (especially AWS); Software development and engineering skills are paramount, more so than machine learning; Pros include AWS, Sagemaker, DataBricks, React, FastApi/Flask. Communication skills are vital
* Python
Great to have:
* Pyspark
* AWS (or any other cloud-based service)
* Databricks
* Apache Kafka
* SAP
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
