RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Systems Engineer in Elkton, MD.
Responsibilities:
* Leads development of Systems Engineering activities as required by the program SOW, working closely with Product Engineering, Analysis, and Program Management
* Provide Systems Engineering leadership and direction in a high tempo work environment
* As a Systems Engineer, you will create and manages system requirements in accordance with program and company standards
* Creates, manages, and approves the requirements verification methods and database provided to the customer, to ensure, as the system design/build matures, that it satisfies each system requirement
* Directs and supports proposal-writing efforts or authors sections/volumes for Systems Engineering for a project
* Systems Engineer will provide risk management (identifies potential risks and develops mitigation strategies) for a significant portion of a project
* Provide program management office and mission planning/operations support
* Leads, prepares, and presents system engineering materials during System Requirements Review, System Functional Review, Preliminary Design Review, Critical Design Review and System Verification Review and other formal program reviews
* Provides IPT leadership and primary interface to customer for System Engineering Activities
REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor's degree in a STEM Field
* 6 or more years of relevant experience
* Hands on experience with DOORS
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
