RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce client in Oakland, CA is looking for a Technical Writer with a experience working in a highly regulated environment.
Summary:
This Technical Writer will develop and maintain manuals, standards, procedures, and bulletins that enable compliance with all external and internal requirements and ensure public and employee safety. The Technical Writer will collaborate with, and gather information from, internal and external clients to develop guidance documents, in an orderly, concise manner, which are typographically, grammatically, and technically correct.
Responsibilities:
* Take complex technical information and make it clear and easy-to-understand for a non-technical audience
* Produces Manuals and Guides, including Standards, Guidelines, Procedure, Process Maps
* Use MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Visio
* Take a user-focused approach to documentation planning, design, and content strategy
REQUIREMENTS:
* 2-3 years of Technical Writing, content management, process improvement, in the development of a wide range of documentation deliverables
* Proficient in documentation technologies and processes
* High standards for writing, detail, editing, and information design that lead to accurate, concise, usable, highly-polished content
* Experience with technical documentation, flowcharts and organization charts development, etc.
* Experience working in a regulated environment related to regulatory documentation - utility, biotech, etc.
* Good verbal communication skills to collaborate with peers, content owners and collect necessary information for documents
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Fully competent in Microsoft Office applications and SharePoint
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
