RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Jacksonville, FL that is seeking a VDC Planner responsible for the planning, layout, design, and coordination of assigned projects. They will rely upon their extensive level of electrical knowledge in the construction field.
Responsibilities:
* Planning, layout, design, and coordination of electrical installations
* The VDC Planner maintains regular contact with project personnel as well as professional relationships with designers, owners, and subcontractors
* Reviews project specifications and material submittals for project requirements
* Supports pre-construction, pre-fabrication, and construction teams with electrical/systems/construction-related issues
* Aids in the creation of detailed bill of materials
* Educates field personnel on layout/design processes and supports project efforts
* Creates detailed layout drawings while adhering to company standards
* Seeks ways to infuse quality and labor savings into overall layout efforts
* The VDC Planner will communicate ideas for continuous improvement in standards and workflows
* Performs other duties as assigned by management
REQUIREMENTS:
* Licensed journeyman with 7-10 years of running work on construction jobsite
* Demonstrates a willingness to learn and efficiently use software such as Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Google Suites, and file-sharing platforms
* Experience with team collaboration
* Thorough knowledge of electrical systems, construction documents, and quality construction work practices
* Demonstrates problem-solving ability and can work under rigorous schedules
* Demonstrates organizational and communication skills
* Proficient in reading and understanding of all forms of construction documents
* Ability to interpret 2D plans and provide input to a 3D model
* A commitment to continued learning and development
* Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
