RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Los Angeles, CA that is seeking a Workday Analyst responsible for handling high-volume multi-state payroll, billing, licensing, AP, etc. The Workday Analyst will have a strong knowledge of California labor and wage laws, federal and state payroll regulations and requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
* Assist with the performance of payroll staff processing payroll
* Maintaining employee confidence and protecting payroll operations by keeping information confidential
* Preparing reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, disability, and nontaxable wages
* Determining payroll liabilities by calculating employee federal and state income and social security taxes and employer social security, unemployment, and worker compensation payments
* Understand and report necessary changes to payroll operations by maintaining established policies and procedures
* Track payroll record changes by entering updates in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers
* Reviewing and verifying source documents
* Provide assistance as necessary for all internal and external audits related to payroll
REQUIREMENTS:
* Billing experience
* Licensing experience
* AP experience
* Strong knowledge of California labor and wage laws
* Experience with federal and state payroll regulations and requirements
* Understanding of basic accounting principles and solid financial acumen
* Strong ability to maintain accurate data entry
* Strong working knowledge with Advanced Excel Skills, and high level of proficiency with Microsoft Suite (i.e., Word, Power Point, Outlook), and Database Management
* Strong organizational, analytical skills and ability to interpret data and present to facilitate business decisions
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
