Kforce's client, a well-established Distributor based in NYC, is seeking a highly skilled Controller to join their management team. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned accounting professional to become a key player in the company's success.
About the Role
The Controller will report directly to the President and be responsible for handling various aspects of accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and developing advanced management reports and analytics. They will also supervise a small team in performing all accounting functions.
Responsibilities
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Developing sophisticated management reports and analytics
- Supervising a small team in performing accounting functions
- Financial statement preparation, accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory management, payroll, cash management, credit/collections, and more
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting (CPA preferred)
- 10 years of hands-on accounting experience with a mid-sized company (50-500 employees) preferably in wholesale or distribution
- Recent controllership or equivalent experience
- Experience working with ERP systems and upgrading them
- Proficiency in MS Access, Excel, and Sales Tax
- Solid computer skills, excellent written and verbal communication, and a positive attitude
- Superior data analytics skills and ability to develop budgets, perform variance analysis, and report results to owners
What We Offer
Competitive compensation package of $140,000 - $165,000 per year, a pleasant work environment, and ample parking.
