Senior Radar System Developer
Kforce's client, a leading engineering technology company, is seeking an experienced engineer to fill this role.
Job Summary
This position primarily involves designing, maintaining, and improving various radar algorithms with a focus on signal processing and target detection/tracking.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop effective and efficient radar signal processing algorithms for target detection and tracking.
- Implement these algorithms on embedded hardware with timing and resource constraints (primarily using C ).
- Create test cases using real-world data to validate the efficacy of the algorithms and iterate the design process based on deficiencies.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure radar output meets their requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Strong experience with radar algorithm design and implementation, including phased array processing, beamforming, MIMO, MUSIC, STAP, CFAR, detection, target estimation, target detection and tracking.
- Moving Target Indication (MTI) experience is a plus.
- Radar-based multiple target tracking experience is a plus.
Desired Skills
- Digital signal processing and numerical analysis expertise (e.g., Fourier transforms, digital filters, linear algebra, optimization).
- Proficiency in C or similar programming languages.
- CUDA programming experience is a plus but not required.
- Rapid numerical prototyping in Python is preferred.
- Radar simulation experience is a plus.
Compensation Details
$145,000 - $180,000 per year.
