Principal Signal Processing Expert
A reputable engineering technology firm seeks an accomplished expert to contribute to the development of advanced radar systems.
About the Role
This position focuses on enhancing radar signal processing algorithms with emphasis on detection and tracking capabilities.
Main Responsibilities
- Design and optimize radar signal processing algorithms for accurate target detection and tracking.
- Develop and implement algorithms on embedded hardware under specified time and resource constraints.
- Conduct thorough testing using real-world data to refine algorithms and address performance issues.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that radar output aligns with project requirements.
Essential Qualifications
- Postgraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing radar algorithms, covering areas like phased array processing, beamforming, MIMO, MUSIC, STAP, CFAR, detection, target estimation, and target detection/tracking.
- Advantageous experience with Moving Target Indication (MTI) techniques.
- Experience with radar-based multiple target tracking methods is advantageous.
Favorable Skills
- Mastery of digital signal processing and numerical analysis concepts (e.g., Fourier transforms, digital filters, linear algebra, optimization).
- Expertise in C or similar programming languages.
- Knowledge of CUDA programming is beneficial but not necessary.
- Proficiency in rapid numerical prototyping using Python is desirable.
- Radar simulation experience is advantageous.
Salary Package
$145,000 - $180,000 per year.
