Kenific Group Call Center Operations (KGCCO) is a government contracting company and we operate a high-volume call center in Tampa, FL.

Job Summary :

The employee B enefits C oordinator (HR Generalist) position assists employees with benefits enrollment and questions, manages leave administration to include disability, Family Medical Leave and requests for accommodations , maintains employee database and files, and ensures compliance with required benefit notices.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits .
  • Manage leave administration for high-volume call center to include disability, Family Medical Leave and personal leave.
  • Manage the employee accommodation process.
  • Conduct benefits orientations and explain benefits self-enrollment system.
  • Maintain employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately in payroll system for payroll deduction.
  • Coordinate workers' compensation claims with third-party administrator. Follow up on claims.
  • Assist HR manager in obtaining statistics and information in renewal process of any health, life and retirement plans that benefit the company.
  • Prepare and set up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits and other related incentive programs. Ensure distribution of required employee notices.
  • Prepare and maintain biweekly employee reports, new-hire and absentee reports. Assist HR manager in completing benefits reporting requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities

  • K nowledge of employee benefits and applicable laws. Knowledge of Service Contract Act Benefit Administration is a plus but not required .
  • Knowledge of the Americans with Disability Act and the Pregnant Workers' Fairness Act is a plus but not required .
  • Knowledge of workers' compensation law in the state of Florida is plus but not required .
  • Experience with employee leave administration and the accommodation process.
  • Experience with employee relations to include onboarding and offboarding.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint .
  • Ability to speak Spanish preferred but not required .
  • Experience working in an ATS and benefit administration platforms .
  • Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED and three years of experience in employee benefits administration .
  • PHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP and CEBS professional designations preferred but not required .
  • Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.

  • Position is onsite at our Tampa C all C enter, located at 5701 E Hillsborough Avenue, Tampa, Florida .
