JOB TITLE: TSF Construction Equipment Operator
DEPARTMENT: Process
LOCATION: Robinson Mine - Ruth, NV
POSITION REPORTS TO: TSF Construction Supervisor(s)
ROTATING SHIFT: No (Day Shift Only)
NONEXEMPT
Purpose & Scope of The Position:
The TSF Construction Equipment Operator will be responsible for safe, efficient movement of materials. Successful applicants will be required to operate haul trucks, equipment and perform intermittent physical labor activities as needed by the department. This may include, but is not limited to dozers, graders, loaders, water trucks, and excavators. Perform and document thorough pre-operational inspections to evaluate the safety and mechanical condition of the equipment. All work must be completed in a safe and efficient manner while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect the company’s values.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow safe work procedures and best practices.

- Physical labor as needed in support of project and equipment needs.
- Support continuing development of RNMC’s Culture.
- Operate in a safe and efficient manner, causing the least wear and/or damage to equipment and mine property while maintaining the highest level of safe production possible.
- Operate large support equipment utilizing best practices.
- Follow all applicable State and Federal Regulations.
- Work independently and as a member of the team.
- Compliance with all company policies and procedures including, but not limited to safety, environmental, attendance, confidentiality and code of conduct.
- Meet or exceed established performance expectations set by the company.
- Consistently exercise discretion and judgment in job performance.
- Recognize hazardous conditions or situations and act quickly and appropriately to mitigate or eliminate those conditions or situations.
- Participate in meetings and discussions.
- Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHMI.
Required Education, Work Experience & Training:
- Two plus years operating various large equipment in an open pit mine environment.
- Excellent attitude towards Safety and the continued success of RNMC.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Working knowledge of Mine Operations Equipment fleets including operating and basic maintenance of such equipment.
- Strong work ethic.
- Ability to positively interact with people.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience in civil/construction earthwork.
- High school diploma or equivalent.

Technical Skills:
- Follow verbal and written directions and instructions.
- Positive attitude.
- Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- General understanding of mechanical functions preferred but not required.
- Mine Star or Modular Mining dispatch experience.

- Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to meet the required physical demands, including exerting 20-50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10-25 pounds of force frequently and/or 10 pounds of force constantly.
