JOB TITLE: Utility Technician (Dewatering)
DEPARTMENT: Mine Operations
LOCATION: Robinson Mine - Ruth, NV
PAY GRADE: N/A
POSITION REPORTS TO: Utility Supervisor
ROTATING SHIFT: Yes 5/4 - 4/5 Schedule: 2 Weeks Days/2 Weeks Nights

Purpose & Scope of The Position:
The successful candidate will complete daily Dewatering and In-pit water management activities which includes pumping system relocation, trouble shooting and maintenance, water well operation and maintenance, road and pad construction, and the relocation and maintenance of water discharge pipe lines. The applicant must demonstrate a history of good individual and group safety practices and adherence to strict environmental guidelines. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to pumping system installation, HDPE and steel pipe installation, dirt work and equipment operation including boom truck, track hoe, backhoe, dozer, and loader.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Follow safe work procedures and best practices.
- Dewatering Flow management.
- Meet safety, environmental, attendance, and performance standards.
- Manage flows and water levels in the pit as needed.
- Assistance to build, repair, and maintain pipelines in and out of the pit.
- Service and repair both diesel and electric pumps.
- Effectively operating skills with cable realer, dozer, wheel loader, and track hoe.
- Building and grounds maintenance including comfort stations.
- Work effectively alone and in a team.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Positive attitude and safe work habits.
- Ability to work in a dynamic team environment with ever-changing conditions.
- Punctuality and regular attendance required.
- Planning work efficiently with or without a team.
- Safety improvements.
- Process efficiency to maximize production.
- Willingness to perform other duties as necessary to ensure the success of KGHM.
Required Education, Work Experience & Training:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid Driver’s License.
Preferred Education, Work Experience & Training:
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
- Previous pump and motor maintenance experience.
- Previous heavy equipment experience.
- Previous pipe fusing experience.
Technical Skills:
- Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
- General understanding of mechanical functions.
- Basic knowledge of computer operation including Microsoft Excel.

Additional Requirements:
- Successful completion of a pre-employment physical, including drug and alcohol testing.
- Ability to meet the required physical demands, including exerting greater than 100 pounds of force occasionally and/or greater than 50 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than 20 pounds of force constantly.
