We are hiring a P6 Project Scheduler (12-month contract) to support a large data center construction project in the greater Columbus area. This is a full-time, primarily on-site role, with 10% travel to other project locations.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate has a strong track record in P6 construction scheduling, particularly in mission-critical environments to include cloud data centers. You’ll be responsible for managing schedules, analyzing project timelines, and providing real-time solutions for complex scheduling challenges. This role requires technical expertise, strategic problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

Schedule Development & Maintenance

  • Develop, maintain, and report on construction schedules using Primavera P6.
  • Provide weekly schedule reports to clients, ensuring transparency on project progress.
  • Perform QA / QC reviews on program schedules and validate accuracy in schedule analysis.
  • Conduct Critical Path and Earned Value Analysis to track project performance.

Risk & Impact Analysis

  • Identify scheduling risks and recommend mitigation strategies to improve performance.
  • Analyze schedule impacts from changes or claims, including Time Impact Analysis (TIA).
  • Provide fragnet (what is this? I don’t see this in the SOW anywhere) schedule scenarios to support project teams in decision-making.
  • Collaboration & Communication

  • Work closely with Project Managers, General Contractors, and Client Stakeholders to ensure accurate reporting and alignment.
  • Lead and train project teams on schedule management best practices.
  • Attend weekly status meetings to address scheduling concerns and provide guidance.
  • Site & Contractor Oversight

  • Walk construction sites as needed to validate schedule progress .
  • Review and approve contractors' detailed schedules, ensuring proper sequencing and resource allocation.
  • Support schedule negotiations related to change orders, delays, and contractor performance.
  • Compliance & Reporting

  • Ensure adherence to client and general contractor safety requirements .
  • Standardize reporting formats to align with client and stakeholder expectations.
  • Interpret schedule and cost reporting data to support program-level schedule reporting.
  • Minimum Qualifications

  • 8 years of full-time professional experience in Construction Scheduling for an Owner or General Contractor in a Mission Critical environment.
  • 4 years as a lead scheduler on large scale mission critical projects.
  • Mid to advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 software.
  • Pre-hire interview required.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • PSP, PMI-SP, or PMP certification.
  • Bilingual (Spanish / Portuguese).
  • 5 years as a Lead Scheduler on Hyperscale Data Center projects.
  • 3 years of international Mission Critical project experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills with diverse stakeholders.
