This is a full-time on-site role for a Cyber Security Engineer located in Worcester, MA. The Cyber Security Engineer will be responsible for developing and implementing security measures to protect information systems. Day-to-day tasks include conducting vulnerability assessments, monitoring network traffic for unusual activity, designing secure application architectures, identifying and mitigating cybersecurity threats, and ensuring compliance with security standards and regulations. The role also involves collaborating with other IT professionals to enhance overall system security.
- Proficient in Application Security and designing secure application architectures
- Strong understanding of Cybersecurity principles and practices
- Experience in Network Security, including monitoring and securing network traffic
- Expertise in Information Security and safeguarding sensitive data
- Skilled in Vulnerability Assessment and threat detection
- Ability to work collaboratively with IT teams to improve system security
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or CISM are a plus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
