Position Overview:
Imagine being the key figure behind ensuring the seamless operation of cutting-edge ammonia refrigeration systems and related utility equipment—ranging from air and water to gas and steam. With a focus on maintaining and repairing HVAC systems, your work ensures the smooth running of our facility.
Role Responsibilities:
- Efficiently operating and overseeing ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, HVAC units, and more, all in accordance with stringent safety protocols and relevant regulations.
- Engaging in diverse maintenance tasks, from plumbing to electrical work, ensuring our plant and office buildings are in optimal condition.
- Troubleshooting and repairing all mentioned equipment while maintaining comprehensive maintenance logs and checks.
- Providing vital corrections and preventive measures to ensure maximum functionality of equipment and systems.
- Inspecting and maintaining the integrity of infrastructure components like ceilings, piping, and flooring.
- Performing simple electrical upkeep, ensuring functions like lighting remain uninterrupted using specialized tools.
- Replacing and updating outdated or non-functional building materials and appliances to uphold safety and comfort standards.
Your Qualifications:
- Certifications: EPA Section 608 Universal Certification, HVAC certification
- Skills: Proficient welding skills, understanding of steam principles and facility systems
- Experience: Minimum of two years in the refrigeration sector, especially in the food industry involving ammonia refrigeration
Physical and Environmental Expectations:
Venture into a mixed-temperature environment, alternating between warm production areas and cooler spaces. The role involves physical tasks such as bending and lifting weights up to 50 pounds.
Compensation & Perks:
Join a union-supported hourly position with rates between $23.50 and $26.50, depending on experience. Benefit from health coverage and employee assistance programs.
