Job Summary:
Kha Products, Inc. is seeking a Lead Quality Inspector to join our team in Fountain Valley, CA. The Lead Quality Inspector will be responsible for working with the production team to assure that all products meets quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to solve problems quickly, accurately and decisively.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage company’s quality system and assure products are tested in accordance with company standards.
- Perform daily inspections of precision machined parts for first article, receiving, in process and final article inspection.
- Perform gaging set-up in support of shop production.
- Inspect parts using measurement/inspection hand tools, including micrometers, calipers, indicators, thread gages, surface plates, optical comparator, etc.
- Perform and verify visual, dimensional and surface finish inspection for product conformance with purchase order requirements and customer-supplied specifications, drawings, manuals, and/or procedures using visual, mechanical and machine test methods.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings and other customer specifications.
- Work with Production Lead and General Manager to achieve product quality and production goals.
- Supervise and develop quality control team members.
- Inspect products for defects and reject those that do not meet specifications.
- Complete paperwork and documentation used in the acceptance and shipment of products.
- Assist in management of the company's Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001.
- Generate and assist in the corrective/preventive action process.
- Maintain inspection records in accordance with company procedures, including calibration of inspection tools and maintenance of calibration log.
- Train personnel for continuous improvement.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
Qualifications:
- Five or more years experience in a quality inspection position in a CNC machine shop or manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor’s degree in related field (engineering, etc.) preferred; high school diploma/GED equivalent from accredited institution required.
- Familiarity with ISO 9001 and ISO 9001-certified systems.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in Vietnamese is a plus.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Mastery on use of inspection measuring tools such as gages, micrometers, etc. to measure parts in conformance with customer specifications and engineering drawings.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to problem solve quickly, accurately, and decisively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to communicate with customers and vendors via phone and email.
- Experience in CNC machining environment is a plus.
- Self-starter who requires little to no supervision.
- Team player with ability to work effectively with others and excels at operating in a fast-paced environment.
- Must not be color blind, nor noncorrect ability vision impaired.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on an ongoing basis without need for company sponsorship.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.

Pay: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour
