We are looking for a Product Development, Wovens Intern to join the KHAITE team for this Summer. This role will report to the Senior Director, Product Development & Production, RTW and will be based out of the NYC HQ offices. This internship is unpaid and for college credit only.

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for a Product Development, Wovens Intern to join the KHAITE team for this Summer. This role will report to the Senior Director, Product Development & Production, RTW and will be based out of the NYC HQ offices. This internship is unpaid and for college credit only.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate sample launches, which involves preparing cut tickets, corrected patterns, sew-guides, mock-ups to execute the sample package preparations
- Visit local factories / vendors daily for sample transportation & check in on development
- Launch mock-ups, pattern plot outs, fabric fusing, etc.
- Update digital design boards, WIPs.
- Maintain updates in PLM system - RLM (style entries, bom, cut tickets)
- Organize sample racks for fittings as well as maintain working space
Interpersonal Skills:
- Exceptional attention to details and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving and a sense of urgency
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
- Currently enrolled for a Bachelor's Degree; preferably in Fashion Design, Apparel Production, Technical Design, or a related field
- Basic knowledge of garment construction, fit, and product development; with a particular interest in woven materials
- New York domestic development experience is a plus
- Proficiency in PLM, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in RLM is a plus.
