THE ROLE

We’re looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) experienced in building products and release management who is passionate about education to help us execute on our innovative vision for assessments. The TPM will connect the dots across different initiatives including content, item banking, reporting, and assessment experience to ensure we adhere to our vision. The TPM will work closely with the Director of Assessments, the Senior Product Manager of Assessments, and the wider team to bring meaningful assessments to life. 

What you’ll do:

  • Plan and manage the release of cross-functional technical projects specific to assessment
  • Manage dependencies across the multiple teams contributing to the assessment program, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to ensure successful releases
  • Make recommendations about trade-offs when required to ensure overall program success
  • Collaborate with content experts, psychometricians, product managers, engineers, and designers within and across teams  to define problems and requirements, foresee potential challenges, and identify solutions 
  • Ensure tight communication about and alignment with goals  across teams and audiences
  • Maintain cross-functional program documentation, including key cross-functional decisions
  • Own processes and tools for tracking the overall assessment program

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 5 years of project or program management experience in the edTech assessment space
  • Proven experience  wrangling multiple projects
  • Experience working with engineering teams and communicating technical requirements or  constraints to a variety of stakeholders
  • Experience with the SDLC as it relates to building products
  • Proficient in program and project management tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written), as well as an eye for detailed documentation
  • Excellent time management skills

The target salary range for this position is $127,423 - $159,279 USD // $172,188 - $215,235 CAD. The pay range for this position is a general guideline only. The salary offered will depend on internal pay equity and the candidate’s relevant skills, experience, qualifications, and job market data. Exceptional performers in this role who make an outsized contribution can make well in excess of this range.  Additional incentives are provided as part of the complete total rewards package in addition to comprehensive medical and other benefits.
