Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and be capable of performing a variety of maintenance tasks in both residential and commercial settings. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently, as well as part of a team, to ensure that all facilities are maintained to the highest standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on various systems including electrical, plumbing, and HVAC.
- Maintain and troubleshoot equipment using tools such as an ohmmeter and schematics.
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to identify issues that require attention.
- Assist in supervising maintenance staff and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with residents or clients regarding maintenance requests.
- Carry out residential painting and other aesthetic improvements as needed.
- Perform welding tasks for repairs or installations as required.
- Document all maintenance activities and report any significant issues to management.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in maintenance tasks.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals.
- Ability to operate an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools effectively.
- Previous experience in customer service is preferred to ensure positive interactions with clients.
- Skills in residential painting are a plus.
- Welding experience is beneficial for various repair tasks.
- Good command of the English language for effective communication.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting.
