Job Details:
We are on the lookout for a passionate and dynamic DevOps Engineer to join our Tech Services team. The ideal candidate will be a problem solver with a keen interest in innovative solutions and a strong background in system architecture, automation, deployment, and monitoring. This role requires someone who can work collaboratively with our software engineering team to deploy and operate our systems, help automate and streamline our operations and processes, build and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations, and troubleshoot and resolve issues in our development, test, and production environments.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in CS, engineering, software engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in managing Linux based infrastructure.
- Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience at least in one scripting language.
- Experience in Java, with knowledge of its ecosystems.
- Strong experience with SQL and MySQL (NoSQL experience is a plus).
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an always-up, always-available service.
- Experience with automation/configuration management using either Puppet, Chef or an equivalent.
- Experience with AWS.
- Strong experience with Jenkins and Kubernetes.
- Experience with performance testing and automation.
- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services.
- Experience in advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Great attention to detail, and a problem-solving attitude.
