KI is seeking a student to fill a Design Internship position for the upcoming spring semester which could possibly be extended through the summer of 2025. Students will work approximately 15 hours per week during the school year and will be compensated at a rate of $18.00 / hour. This position will work from KI's New York showroom.
The intern will work closely with District designers and Sales Specialists to assist in creating functional, safe, and aesthetically pleasing spaces while also assisting with various showroom administrative functions. The Intern will also assist the Pallas Textiles Sales Specialist in maintaining Pallas sample inventory, fulfilling sample requests, and other administrative tasks.
Qualified students will be working towards pursuing a degree in Interior Design, Architecture or a related field. Previous internship or relevant part-time job experience is a plus but not required. Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD and CET is helpful. A basic understanding of building codes and regulations, as well as the ability to generate innovative design ideas and solutions is also helpful.
