Our dealership is looking for a Used Car Manager to lead our pre-owned vehicle department. In this position, you are responsible for managing our used car inventory, which involves researching, purchasing, and pricing vehicles. You also oversee the sales staff, helping them meet monthly goals and encouraging leadership development within your team. This position takes strong communication and relationship management skills to get the most out of your employees and the best deal from wholesale dealerships. Our ideal candidate has prior experience with used cars, preferably in a supervisory role. You must be team oriented and respectful to all fellow team members regardless of position and situation.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain an inventory of used cars that meet the needs and budget of our customers
- Train and motivate sales staff to sell used cars profitably
- Develop and implement marketing plans to promote the sale of used cars
- Work with the finance department to develop financing options for customers
- Negotiate with customers to reach a fair price for both the customer and the dealership
- Maintain relationships with customers after the sale
- Evaluate trade-ins and make offers to customers
- Stay up-to-date on changes in the marketplace and adjust pricing and promotions accordingly
- Monitor competition and adjust strategies as needed
- Ensure that the sales staff is complying with all laws and regulations
- Keep accurate records of all sales transactions
- Prepare reports for upper management
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
