Responsibilities and Duties
A working knowledge of encroachment programs, to include permit issuance and site inspections.
A working knowledge of covenant compliance program, to include site inspections and covenant notifications.
A working knowledge of KICA safety program, to include site inspections and KICA program specifics
A working knowledge of ARB enforcement responsibilities, in order to serve as a resource to the ARB staff
Familiarity with KICA Handbook of Rules & Regulations, Kiawah Island covenants, KICA Land Management Guidelines for Association Members and ARBs Designing with Nature Guidelines.
This position is expected to field inquiries (from staff, KICA members, contractors, other entities, etc.) in all areas of livability and work with other livability employees, other KICA staff or other entities to seek resolution of any issues.\
This position covers the livability office for half the day and is in the field for the other half of the day. Hours may be varied by the supervisor, based upon specific scheduling needs.
Requirements :
Excellent customer service skills, with ability to interact effectively with KICA members, island guests, island contractors, other island entities, etc.
Computer skills to include Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database work and basic photography.
Strong oral and written communications skills
Punctual and alert, with a high degree of initiative
Job requires repetitive motion such as working on a computer, bending over, kneeling, high heat and humidity, and cold temperatures.
Job requires lifting or carrying weights in excess of 30 lbs.
Employee may be exposed to high noise levels and flying debris.
Employee is required to operate a motor vehicle.
Employee may be required to work along roadways with heavy traffic.
Employee may be working in close proximity to where pesticides have been used and stored.
Other requirements :
Pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and driving record check.
Maintain a valid South Carolina Drivers License
