This is a full-time position, with a varying schedule and weekend hours.
Purpose of Position
To provide exceptional customer service for all authorized users of KICA facilities and amenities.
To promote a sense of Community and to encourage island-wide use of KICA facilities and amenities.
To coordinate and communicate with, volunteers, KICA staff and managers, other Kiawah entity recreation departments, contracted services, and other island employees.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide KICA standard customer service at the Sandcastle and other KICA facilities.
Process new members and update existing members’ information
Collect fees for facility usage and post to appropriate accounts.
Provide necessary orientation to volunteers, caterers, and patrons using the facilities.
Assist in the maintenance of records, contracts, events, and reservations.
Assist with events, as necessary.
Coordinate with facilities staff to ensure that fitness equipment remains clean, with an available supply of clean towels and cups for member use.
Follow all company policies and procedures to the Kiawah Standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Requirements :
Qualifications and Abilities
Associate’s degree in related area or equivalent experience given preference.
Ability to interact effectively with members, guests, KICA staff, and Committee members.
Adaptable to flexible working hours including weekends, nights and holidays.
Proven customer service skills.
Excellent oral and written communication ability.
Computer skills to include data entry and basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
Knowledge of PowerPoint, Publisher, Adobe InDesign, and other creative software is a plus.
Physical Requirements :
Prolonged periods standing, walking, and / or sitting at a desk.
Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions, especially the summer heat.
Other requirements :
Pass a pre-employment drug screen, criminal background check, and driving record check.
Possess a valid South Carolina Driver’s License
