Please note : This is a seasonal position which runs from mid-May until Labor Day.
Hours can be part-time or full-time
Purpose of Position
To ensure all members and guests receive the highest level of service.
To promote a sense of Community and encourage island-wide use of the Sandcastle Pool and Fitness Facilities.
To communicate with coworkers, volunteers, KICA staff and managers, other Kiawah entity recreation departments, contracted services, and other island employees as necessary.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Monitor usage of the pool facility by members and guests.
- Greet and perform check-in procedures for all members and guests while engaging in positive interactions.
- Understanding your role within the Sandcastle team and working to achieve your duties to the best of your ability.
- Possess the knowledge to answer questions and direct members around the facility / island.
- Ensures the outdoor presentation and appearance is always clean, pleasing to the eye, and impeccable in its presentation.
- Assist with summer poolside activities, contests, and games.
- Enforce the rules and policies of the facility in a positive manner, supporting The Sandcastle standards and core values.
- Prevent injuries by minimizing hazardous situations or behaviors.
- Follow all company policies and procedures to the Kiawah Standards.
- Work efficiently in order to reduce costs.
- Other duties as assigned.
