- Graciously tend to the needs of spa guests and anticipate requests.
- Create an environment that facilitates a welcoming, enjoyable Spa experience.
- Members of the Spa team become proficient in multiple hospitality functions and gain valuable experience that can lead to advancement throughout the resort.
- Work to achieve complete knowledge of all spa & salon treatments, spa packages and retail available.
- Must be able to communicate with guests in a courteous, professional manner.
- Will accurately schedule spa appointments while providing guidance and recommendations for spa services.
- Have the ability to multitask and answer incoming phone calls, promptly respond to emails, as well as assist guests with check-in and check-out procedures, including addressing spa charges.
- Responsible for setting up the Spa in the morning and shutting down in the evening.
- Will also assist Locker Room Spa Team with keeping the locker room and facilities clean and in pristine condition.
- Work in a supportive, cooperative and pleasant manner with guests, colleagues and management.
- Basic knowledge of resort activities is required to ensure timeliness of department needs that would be outlined by supervisor.
- Work productively with minimal supervision, appropriately employing initiative.
- Perform all other tasks and duties as determined necessary by management.
- Uphold the core values and policies and procedures of the resort.
- All other duties, as assigned.
- High school diploma, or equivalent vocational training certificate, required. College degree – ideally in Hospitality or Travel and Tourism – is preferred.
- Previous guest service experience in a luxury spa, hotel or resort setting is preferred, but not required.
- Basic computer proficiency and excellent phone etiquette / verbiage required.
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Good to Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written, required.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
- Must be someone who appreciates the opportunity to be of service to others as one of the main responsibilities of this role is to offer assistance to all guests who enter the Spa.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from the resort.
- Must be flexible and be open to working morning / afternoon / evening shifts, as well as weekends.
- Must be able to lift minimum weight of 35 lbs. across short-medium distances.
- Must physically be able to transport linen(s) by pushing and pulling bins, and remain standing for a vast majority of that shift.
- Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements.
