Recipe for Success
- Prior experience as a line cook is required.
- A culinary arts degree and experience with specialized ingredients are preferred but not necessary.
- You must have knowledge of kitchen equipment, basic tools, small wares, culinary techniques, and ingredients specific to the location.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic food temperatures, proper food handling, and good judgment of quantity, quality, and production is essential.
- Showcasing passion for the culinary arts, continual learning, and guest service is crucial.
- You should be able to follow recipes, make recipe conversions, adhere to food allergies, and propose menu items.
- BASIC knife skills and butchering techniques are necessary.
- Clean work habits and ownership of a safe, clean work area are expected.
- Ability to assist with weekly cleaning and maintenance duties is required.
- Willingness to maintain a neat professional appearance and always observe personal cleanliness rules is essential.
- Assisting with other duties as instructed by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef is part of the role.
