Spring House Assistant Manager
The Spring House Assistant Manager responsibilities center around the day-to-day function of this multi-faceted amenity that serves as a cornerstone of the Kiawah River experience. The ideal Assistant Manager is an individual looking for a fun and exciting learning opportunity to develop skills and an understanding of multiple different fields—hospitality, fitness, events, and food and beverage operations.
Requirements:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as a liaison to homeowners, guests and prospects helping to create a warm, welcoming first impression and positive experience.
- Assist with managing the day-to-day facility operations, services, and staffing needs as they relate to dining, fitness, pool, and events.
- Aid with staff management including recruiting, scheduling, on-boarding, training, and continued coaching of team members. Set an example for staff on delivering exceptional service and step in as needed at peak times or when short staffed.
- Assist with facility organization such as survey results tracking, signage needs throughout the building, Asana calendar management.
- Assist with the planning and execution of Spring House gatherings and functions for residents and guests as well as private event bookings.
- Assist with operational needs such as inventory tracking and accounting procedures to maintain a well-organized and balanced budget—check requests, processing invoices, ordering supplies, tracking revenue and expenses, etc.
- Coordinate with vendors and service personnel on maintenance and upkeep of facility and equipment needs.
- Adheres to all policies and procedures as defined in the company Handbook.
REQUIREMENTS and SKILLS
- 1 year of supervisory experience in a similar upscale hospitality environment
- Applicable experience in a clubhouse/membership based environment preferred but not required
- Training or certification in TIPS and ServSafe is provided on an annual basis, and participation is required.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is required.
- Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills, polite, personable demeanor.
- Aptitude in resolving issues with a customer-focused orientation.
- Ability to lead a team and coach effectively.
- Ability in multitasking and time-management.
- Proficient in using technology daily or upon training i.e.. point-of-sale
- Flexible and adaptable to a changing operation and daily needs, events, etc.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, etc. for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs. Frequently is exposed to warm weather conditions and performs the majority of duties outside.
