The Willows of West Hills is currently looking for a groundskeeper to join our team!
Job Summary: The Grounds Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep of the property buildings and grounds to ensure excellent property appearance and curb appeal. Duties include maintaining clean driveways, parking areas, trash collection areas, common areas, landscape, walkways, pool areas, and snow removal. This is a temporary full-time position with the opportunity to transition to full-time permanent role.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintain the cleanliness and curb appeal of the property and ensure all common areas and amenities are clean and maintained (removal of litter, pressure washing/blowing breezeways/railings, changing lightbulbs, etc.)
- Collect garbage and remove it to proper disposal areas.
- Assist the maintenance department with service requests and perform light maintenance tasks.
- Communicate effectively with residents and coworkers.
- Meet task deadlines and ensure timely and courteous responses.
- Operate a computer and other technological devices to access email and company utilized software.
- Promptly report unsafe conditions or areas of concerns regarding the property or residents.
- Oversee the care, maintenance and inventory of all supplies and equipment owned by the company.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of one year of grounds experience preferred.
- Knowledgeable and skilled in safe use and maintenance of hand tools, power tools, and mechanical equipment.
- Strong communication skills; ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
- Basic computer skills and understanding of technology.
Work environment:
Exposure to outside weather conditions.
Physical demands:
Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds without assistance.
Ability to climb stairs and ladders.
Ability to work outside in different elements.
Ability to operate a golf cart.
Additional eligibility requirements:
Valid and current Driver’s License
Must past a background check, drug screen and motor vehicle report prior to first day of employment
