Purpose:

The IT Manager is Job responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing and directing the technology vision of the Casino, also for the successful overall administration and coordination of all activities of the IT department at the property in accordance with the Mission and Objectives of the casino and all established policies, procedures and controls of the casino.

This includes but is not limited to :managing all activities of the casino information management systems, software and hardware development, computer network and mainframe support; advise and direct departments in the planning and implementation of new information systems; ongoing projects and contract management; systems integration and coordination between Casino departments, vendors and contractors.

The IT Manger ensures that a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction is achieved and maintained by the IT Department.

Directly responsible for supporting the system needs of all departments ensuring a maximum level of service and user satisfaction.

1. Communicates with all departments on specific needs and/or problems, and acts as a liaison between technicians, vendors and management.
2. Ensures proper licensing and adequate support for all system users.
3. Assists in the design, coordination and installation of multi-user applications.
4. Administers a network operating system, maintaining data integrity and system quality
5. Maintains working knowledge of all applications on the network operating system
6. Enforces standards of security, system integrity and confidentiality within the department.
7. Routinely inspects all supported equipment on property, identifying potential problems and coordinating necessary repairs.
8. Coordinates the troubleshooting and repair of all supported equipment on property.
9. Implements and manages an effective information technology plan for the property, working with the Director of Operations and ensures that operations are maintained within budgetary constraints.
10. Reviews analyses of activities, costs, operations and forecast data, to determine departmental progress toward stated goals and objectives.
11. Administers all programs, policies and procedures for the Information Technology Department.
12. Ensures compliance with all appropriate Tribal, federal, state, and local laws and regulations, as applicable.
13. Performs other duties and projects as required.
14. Maintains a Professional look and attitude at all times and creates an atmosphere of FUN for all Casino guests

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications for Consideration

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Sciences or Business Administration or four to six years related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Server 2003, Desktop systems, Novell Systems, Open Enterprise, Linux with CAN and/or CNE certification and Firewalls.
• Knowledge of principals and processes involved in business and organization and execution. This includes strategic planning, resource allocation, manpower techniques, and production methods.
• Possess superior computer skills and be proficient in a variety of software applications currently in use at the Kickapoo Casino, with the ability to learn other applications to supplement the support side of the position.
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP routing and packet filtering (IPTABLES).
• VmWare, XEN experience preferred and SQL experience required.
• Ability to communicate information and ideas orally and in written format, in layman’s terminology, to ensure effective communication.
• Able to analyze needs and product requirements to create a workable design solution.
• Deal diplomatically with the public and staff.
• Documents that establish both Identity and Employment Eligibility.
