SCOPE OF POSITION:

Responsible for the count of all EGD cashboxes, Poker drop boxes, cigarette vending machines and other drops as assigned.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The following are examples only and are not intended to be all inclusive or restrictive; other duties may be assigned as necessary.

• Performs all functions in accordance with applicable Tribal, Federal and other laws and gaming regulations and Kickapoo Lucky Eagle policies and procedures.

• Ensures the highest possible standards of guest service are provided and listens and responds to guest and employee concerns and questions.

• Obtains required keys from the computerized key watcher system.

• Removes drop boxes and secure boxes in cart.

• Secures the cart in the count room.

• Sorts and counts all currency, coin, tickets and coupons from each drop box

• Operates the currency counting equipment.

• Prints and signs the currency counting machine-generated document.

• Prepares the Soft Count Transfer Slip.

• Ensures all the currency, coin, tickets and coupons, and one part of the signed Soft Count Transfer Slip is transferred to the Main Banker.

• Ensures at least one part of the signed Soft Count Transfer Slip and all other count documentation is transported in a secure package directly to the Revenue Audit Department.

• Maintains confidentiality of count room totals during the time the Main Banker is re-counting the currency and the number of tickets in the transfer.

• Maintains confidentiality of count start and end times.

• Ensures that all the drop boxes are counted each day, as required by the count schedule.

• Ensures that all equipment is well maintained and cleaned each day.

• Makes minor repairs and maintenance of count room equipment.

• Reports any suspicious activity to the Drop and Count Team Supervisor, Controller, and Surveillance Department.

• Attends, and satisfactorily completes all required training as assigned and required.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.

• Must be at least 18 years of age.

• Must be able to pass math assessment and excel assessment.

• Ability to perform several tasks at the same time (multi-tasking).

• Ability to perform repetitive tasks according to policy (drop counting) for long periods of time.

• Ability to learn and effectively utilize computerized, mechanized counting equipment.

• Possess dependable transportation to/from work.

• Must be able to wear specialized uniforms.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School Diploma or GED

1-2 Years of cashiering experience preferred

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimal, and work with mathematical such as probability and inference.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:

Excellent English oral and written communication skills. Spanish or other language skills a plus

EMPLOYMENT AUTHORIZATION:

Must be able to provide authorization to work in the United States. Required to obtain and maintain a gaming license from the KTTT Gaming Commission. Responsible to keep all documents current and valid at all times. Kickapoo Tribe or other Tribal preference preferred.

The physical and work environments described here are representative of those that must be met and are encountered by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, bend for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; talk and listen on a regular basis;

Ability to work for extended periods in an office under artificial fluorescent lighting with varying noise levels and in a smoke filled environment.

Must be able to perform under pressure. Specific vision abilities include the ability to adjust vision.

The employee may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with difficult guests and extremely irate staff members.
